About Me

Hello! I am a 24-year-old homeschooled entrepreneur and political activist in Anderson, SC. My 5 siblings stepped up our political involvement when Mike Huckabee decided to run for President in 2008. Creating the “Upstate SC for Mike Huckabee Meetup Group” was my first real foray into grassroots politics.
Since then, I have been a part of organizing two TEA Party protests in Anderson, SC and have become a delegate to the Anderson County Republican Party. My family is becoming more involved on a local level and we try to regularly attend our County Council meetings and stay informed more.
Why are we so passionate about politics? Because we are true patriotic Americans, we love our country, and we realize that one reason things are as bad as they are is because the previous two generations sat on their tails and enjoyed their ease while the maggots of corruption attacked the moral fiber and foundation this great country was built on.
Quite frankly, “we the people” are the last line of defense. If this generation does not rise up and save our Country from socialism, we do not deserve to be saved.
About the Blog Name
Being a very out-of-the-box person, I love politicans who challenge the status quo and defy conventional wisdom! (Even in my line of work as a computer programmer I love finding unique, creative solutions to everyday problems.)
Favorite Political Figures
Some of my favorite politicans alive today are:
- Gov. Sarah Palin
- Gov. Mike Huckabee
- Sen. Jim DeMint
- SC Sen. Kevin Bryant
- Gov. Mark Sanford
Party Politics
The Republican party has been a voice for conservatism in the past, but since Regan (with the brief exception after “Contract with America”) Republicans have not actively and aggressively pursued a conservative agenda. It seems that the GOP is all about staying “grand” rather than preserving our freedoms. There are many, many issues that need a conservative champion, but most Republicans are only concerned about staying in power.
Case in point: Republicans are going easy on Sotomayor because they are afraid of alienating hispanic voters. I would ask them: “you would sell our freedoms for hispanic votes?”
Frankly, I still believe that the GOP is the most viable vehicle for conservatism, more so than starting a third party. Other than this, I don’t care squat about the Republican party. We need to get rid of some of these “establishmentarians”:
- RNC Chairman Michael Steele
- Sen. Lindsey Graham
- Sen. John McCain
- Sen. Olympia Snowe
- Gov. Mitt Romney
- Rep. Gresham Barrett
- … and the list goes on and on and on.
I’m talking about moderate republicans, RINOs, and even wimpy conservative republicans. You can’t try to stay in the system without becoming corrupt. We need a flood of new blood in Washington who don’t want to be there any longer than they have to to get the job done.
